Here is a step by step guide on how to get the Timeline.
- Go to the Facebook Timeline announcement page.
- You will find a green button with “Get Timeline” written on it.
- Click on this button. That is all you need to do!
You will be redirected to a preliminary Timeline page; however it will go live after you publish it. Otherwise it will go live after seven days.
Timeline feature allows you to place a large image at the top of the screen. This is what you should do first. The existing privacy settings will continue to apply on this new feature.
To add information, you need to just click on the “+” icon and the choose the kind of update you want to add. To remove an activity (like a photo or a status update), from your Timeline, you need to just bring your cursor over the top right-hand corner of the update, click on the pencil icon and choose the option “Hide from Timeline”.
